In 2024, Republic Bank and the Republic Bank Foundation were recognized for their cash contributions to support charities and philanthropic enterprises in Louisville Business First’s Partners in Philanthropy program. We’re ranked 8th on the list and the only bank in the category of Louisville’s Top 10 Large Corporate Philanthropists.

Minority Business Expo
Several Republic Bank Tennessee associates joined the 2025 Minority Business Expo in Franklin, TN. The event featured nearly 70 minority-owned businesses and served as not only an opportunity for everyone to meet new people and partner with the community but to celebrate Black History Month, too.

AAA Scholarship Foundation
Jim Kirkpatrick, Republic Bank’s Florida Market President, had the honor of presenting a $200,000 check on behalf of the bank in support of the AAA Scholarship. This scholarship provides vital assistance to families of children with disabilities in choosing the best school for them, allowing these parents to provide their children with the best education possible.

Wreaths Across America
A group of Republic Bank’s Tennessee associates participated in Wreaths Across America, spending a Saturday at the Nashville National Cemetery honoring and remembering veterans by laying wreaths at their graveside and reading their names aloud.

Habitat for Humanity – Greater Cincinnati
Some of Republic Bank’s associates in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky market gathered in College Hill to volunteer their time and effort with Habitat for Humanity Greater Cincinnati.

Black Men’s Wellness Day
Republic Bank’s NIA BRG showed up in support of Black Men’s Wellness Day. This 3rd annual event hosted by the African American Male Wellness Agency works to address health disparities in the black community and empower men to take care of their mental and physical health.

Habitat for Humanity – Rutherford County
Republic Bank’s Tennessee team has partnered with the Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity to provide affordable housing to those in the community. Republic Bank took the initiative to purchase newly-closed mortgage loans, originated by Habitat affiliates in their market. This allows those affiliates to go right back out and afford to build another house.

Habitat for Humanity – Williamson & Maury Counties
Republic Bank’s Nashville market donated funds to Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury to support their down payment assistance program and Hammers and High Heels fundraiser, with proceeds going toward a home build for single mother and Franklin-native and her four children.

431 Ministries
Republic Bank’s Nashville team invested volunteer hours and monetary support to help 431 Ministries and their incredible mission in the Nashville community to provide women who have been through hardship an opportunity to develop hope and a plan for an independent future.

Financial Fitness Fair
Republic Bank partnered with the Esperanza Latino Center to host a third Financial Fitness Fair for Hispanic and Latinx communities in the Cincinnati area. Several associates from the Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky Retail and Mortgage divisions volunteered their time to help demystify common problems and myths associated with banking.

4th Annual Juneteenth Celebration
Republic Bank was proud to partner with Kentucky African Americans Against Cancer – KAAAC, Kare Mobile, Louisville Free Public Library, Metro United Way, and the many food and community vendors who made the fourth annual Juneteenth event at the Republic Bank Foundation YMCA a success. It was a meaningful day – attendees received life-saving health screenings and education to promote prostate and oral health, a new Little Library was installed at the YMCA, and people had a space to celebrate Juneteenth early and share joy!

Pride Celebrations in Florida, Indiana, Tennessee, AND Kentucky
In June 2024, Republic Bank was able to be part of more Pride celebrations than ever! Kicking off the celebrations at the Gulf Port Pride Festival in FL, the Franklin Pride Festival in TN, and the Southern Indiana Pride Festival all in one weekend. Throughout Pride month, they followed it up by joining the Kentuckiana Pride Festival in Louisville, KY, then the St. Pete Pride Festival in St. Pete, FL, and closed with the Lexington Pride Festival in Lexington, KY! Republic Bank believes in supporting ALL parts of our community so they can THRIVE in the freedom to be themselves.

Margaret Allen Middle School Financial Literacy
As part of our ongoing commitment to community outreach, a few of our associates visited the 8th grade students at Margaret Allen Middle School in Nashville to teach them about financial literacy. Republic Bank associate Marie Holmes said, “Being able to step into the classroom and teach the eighth graders about something that is as fundamental as financial literacy was something magical. If we really believe that our children are the future, we must share the tools of life, especially the ones not taught in schools.”

Bluegrass Families First Award Luncheon
Republic Bank was honored to be the presenting sponsor for the Bluegrass Families First annual Jean Sabharwal Award Luncheon, celebrating Darlene Edwards, Executive Director of GreenHouse17. Bluegrass Families First serves Lexington-area families by providing resources for early childhood development, education, and health and human services. Their annual Jean Sabharwal Award recognizes family-focused work from outstanding community members and partners, like Darlene.

Future Business Leaders of America at Ballard High School
Several Republic Bank associates volunteered their time to teach financial fitness to the Future Business Leaders of America in Jill Napier’s class at Ballard High School. We’re so proud of our associates for giving back to the community and helping to educate the next generation on important financial skills.
Republic Bank’s Record-Breaking Metro United Way Giving Campaign
Republic Bank celebrated our record-breaking employee & corporate-giving program for Metro United Way by hosting an event in Downtown Louisville, highlighting the important work supported by Metro United Way.

Bellarmine University Rubel School of Business six-month Women of Color Entrepreneur Leadership Certificate Program and Pitch Competition
For the third year in a row, Republic Bank has sponsored this program that helps 12 women of color with different business ventures hone their skills in business marketing, taxes, and sales pitches through a fully-funded curriculum.

Williamson Inc.’s Black Business Council Financial Empowerment Program
Our Nashville Republic Bank team presented at Williamson Inc.’s Black Business Council Financial Empowerment program in Franklin, TN. Charlotte Peacock, VP and Business Banking Officer, covered several business banking topics including, How to Increase Your Business Cash Flow.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati
Two teams of Northern Kentucky and Ohio Republic Bank volunteers helped to paint, prep floors, and put together cabinets for a Habitat for Humanity home.

Community Montessori Food Pantry
Inspired by his daughter, Claire, and her friends, Sam Weissinger, one of our Business Banking Officers, collected non-perishable food items for the Community Montessori food pantry. Claire had noticed this past Fall that the pantry was running low on food and decided to raise awareness by holding up information signs during drop-off and pick-up.

GO Pantry’s GO Boxes
Northern Kentucky and Ohio Republic Bank associates helped prepare Go Boxes for the summer break. Many students rely on school breakfast and lunch programs during the school year, but when school is on summer break, these children often turn to programs such as GO Pantry’s GO Boxes.

Nashville Entrepreneur Week
In honor of National Small Business Week Republic Bank was a proud sponsor of the Nashville Entrepreneur Week. This event, led by the Nashville Business Incubation Center, had our own Charlotte Peackock, VP and Business Banking Officer, as one of their speakers to talk about access to capital.

YPal’s Emerging Leaders Program
A group of Republic Bank associates participated in the Emerging Leaders program with the Young Professionals Association of Louisville. The cohort wrapped up a 3-month course in interactive classes, lectures and projects in leadership development.

The Children’s Advocacy of the Bluegrass Pinwheel Planting Ceremony
A group of 10 Republic Bank associates participated in a pinwheel planting ceremony for The Children’s Advocacy of the Bluegrass. April represents Child Abuse Prevention month and the pinwheel is the national symbol for child abuse prevention. In honor of the 1,100 children that The Children’s Advocacy of the Bluegrass will serve just this year alone 1,100 pinwheels were planted.

Rock The Block
Republic Bank was proud to sponsor this year’s Rock the Block, which brought together hundreds of volunteers to complete exterior home preservation projects, perform park maintenance, and refresh public spaces across a single neighborhood. We were in Bond Hill with 10 associates and their family members this year.

Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass Educational Workshop
On National Women’s Day, Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass held a day-long educational workshop for young female high school students to give them a unique opportunity to seek meaningful and dynamic leadership careers. Republic Bank associates participated in the event, conducting mock interviews and sharing interview best practices.

Republic Bank Dollars4Doers Program
At Republic Bank, we take our “Commit to Caring” value quite seriously. Each year, our Associates are very generous with their time – volunteering over 14,000 hours each year in the markets where we live and work. The Republic Bank Foundation recognizes Associate volunteers by giving them a chance to win a $2,500 grant for an eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization where they volunteer when associates log their volunteer hours. Winning Associates whose names are drawn are able to designate a $2,500 grant to the qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit where they volunteer. Some of this year’s winners include: Big Brothers Big Sisters; Kids Center for Pediatric Therapies; Drag Queen Storytime KY; Harbor House.

Junior Achievement Bowl-a-Thon
Several Central Kentucky associates formed a bowling team to participate in the annual Junior Achievement Bowl-a-Thon. The team participated in fundraising efforts which benefited the mission of Junior Achievement- providing financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship educational programs to students in grades K-12.

Her Knight Dance
Republic Bank associates volunteered at the Her Knight Dance, which is an annual father/daughter dance whose proceeds are gifted back into the community to like-minded organizations that work to build strong father relationships.

Louisville Ballet’s Choreographer Showcase
Our Pride BRG participated in a tabling event during the Louisville Ballet’s #Chorshow. The Choreographer Showcase was a collaboration with Louisville Youth Group and Pandora Productions, highlighting and uplifting LGBTQ+ stories and voices through dance.

Family Care Center Santa’s Helpers
Republic Bank associates, in partnership with Webb, Hoskins, Brown, & Thompson law firm, provided gifts for children at the Family Care Center and helped Santa hand out goodie bags and stockings to some of the children.

Lipscomb University Presentation
Chad Hart, our Tennessee Market President, spoke to business students at Lipscomb University. The title of his presentation was “How Lenders Make Credit Decisions” and it was geared towards empowering the students to understand one of the critical aspects of business banking.

United Way’s Day of Action
Associates from our Cool Springs and Green Hills locations in Tennessee, volunteered for United Way’s Day of Action. Our community project was to assist with the clean-up of the living quarters of the local Center for Living & Learning located in Franklin, TN.

Republic Bank Earns National Award Recognizing Leadership in Community and Economic Development
Republic Bank was one of only seven banks across the country that received the honor of a Community Commitment Award by the American Bankers Association (ABA) Foundation in 2022. The award was given to Republic for its work in the Community and Economic Development category. Republic’s initiative, which united nine community banks to complete funding for the Louisville Urban League’s Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center and allowed the facility to open in early 2021, was called out by the ABA as an example for banks nationwide of how to make a difference in their communities.
